Berlin: Spanish star Lamine Yamal has risen to stardom following his performance in this year's Euro Cup tournament. Yamal played a pivotal role in Spain's title win, contributing four assists and one goal. The 17-year-old was also awarded the Best Young Player award. After Spain's victory over England in the final held in Berlin, the Spanish players were celebrating when Yamal's mistake in the dressing room went viral on social media.

In the excitement of victory, Yamal went live on Instagram from the Spanish dressing room, inadvertently capturing scenes of some Spanish stars changing clothes. Five lakh people were watching Yamal's Instagram live, resulting in many seeing the Spanish stars naked.

Screenshots of the incident quickly circulated on social media.

Yamal has surpassed legendary footballer Pele's record of being the youngest male player to play in a major international tournament final. In 1958, Pele featured in the World Cup final, when Brazil beat Sweden 5-2 in Stockholm to get hold of the prestigious trophy. He scored two goals in that final against Sweden.

Meanwhile, Spain has rewritten history in the Men’s European Championships by scoring a record-breaking 14 goals in the 2024 edition. This achievement places Spain on par with France, who also scored 14 goals in 1984, and joins several other teams that have scored 13 goals in various editions of the tournament. Spain confirmed their spot in the final in the tournament after beating France 2-1 in the first semi-final match. Meanwhile, England beat Netherlands 1-2 in the second semi-final match with the help of Ollie Watkins' late goal.
