India hammered England in the semifinal of the T20 World Cup and stormed into the final where they will be facing a strong South African team.

But former England skipper Michael Vaughan came up with a conspiracy theory in connection with India’s thumping victory on X, giving way for a heated debate between him and India’s turbanator Harbhajan Singh.

Vaughan opined that with Guyana being the venue for the semifinal clash, the win was relatively easier for India. But this claim did not go well with Harbhajan Singh, who retorted immediately.

“If England had beaten SA they would have got the Trinidad semi and I believe they would have won that game .. So no complaints they haven’t been good enough .. But Guyana has been a lovely venue pick for India,” Vaughan said.

In reply, an angry Harbhajan posted, “What makes you think Guyana was a good venue for India? Both teams played at the same venue. England won the toss that was an advantage. Stop being silly. England was outplayed by India in all departments. Accept the fact and move on and keep your rubbish with yourself. Talk logic not nonsense.”

Vaughan was talking about the venue even before the match. He kept on saying that the Men in Blue were originally scheduled to play their semifinal match in Trinidad but the venue was later shifted to Guyana.

But eventually, in a couple of other posts on X, Vaughan agreed that India thoroughly deserved to be in the final hailing them as being the best team in the tournament so far.

The veteran England cricketer also took a special note of India’s prowess on lower spinning tracks.

Having lost 3 out of 4 games to the top teams in the tournament, Vaughan stated that it is high time for England to reflect upon their weaknesses.
