Excitement is sky-high for MBIFL Day 1

Thiruvananthapuram: The Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters (MBIFL 2024), which is the biggest literature festival in South India, will be inaugurated by actor Mammootty in Kanakakunnu on Thursday.     

Renowned author Sara Joseph and Egyptian novelist/journalist Mansoura Ez-Eldin will be chief guests at the event.

The participants are sure to be enthralled with the exciting events on Day 1 of the Four-day long festival.

The sessions shall commence in the morning.

At 10 AM in the morning, writer T Padmanabhan will deliver a lecture at the Festival Hall. At the same time, opposition leader VD Satheesan will interact with the audience on the festival theme ‘Exploring Plurality’ at the Mathrubhumi Hall.     

Another highlight of the day is the session featuring the renowned pala natives Paul Zacharia and Santhosh George Kulangara, who are both ardent travellers.

In a marquee event in the evening, Benyamin and Ramesh Chennithala will engage in conservation at the Mathrubhumi Hall at 4 PM today. The session is titled ‘Aadum Maanthalirum’.
