Washington: Several world leaders have voiced support for US President Donald Trump’s decision to authorise military strikes on Iran under “Operation Epic Fury”, the White House said, describing the action as a campaign to eliminate an “imminent nuclear threat” and weaken Tehran’s missile, naval and proxy capabilities.

According to statements compiled by the White House, leaders from Australia, Canada, Israel, Albania, Ukraine and Kosovo endorsed Washington’s move, framing it as a preventive step against nuclear escalation and growing instability in the Middle East.

Australia supports the US move against Iran's nuclear threat

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said Iran had destabilised the region for decades through its ballistic missile and nuclear programmes, as well as its backing of armed proxies.

“For decades, the Iranian regime has been a destabilising force, through its ballistic missile and nuclear programs, support for armed proxies, and brutal acts of violence and intimidation… We support the United States acting to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to prevent Iran from continuing to threaten international peace and security,” Albanese said.

Canada reiterates its stand on Iran

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney described Iran as a principal source of instability and terror in the Middle East, reiterating Ottawa’s longstanding opposition to Tehran acquiring nuclear weapons.

“Canada’s position remains clear: the Islamic Republic of Iran is the principal source of instability and terror throughout the Middle East, has one of the world’s worst human rights records, and must never be allowed to obtain or develop nuclear weapons … Canada supports the United States acting to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to prevent its regime from further threatening international peace and security,” Carney said, adding that Canada supports US efforts to prevent further threats to international peace.

Netanyahu thanks Trump for ‘historic leadership’

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directly thanked President Trump for the operation, calling it a decisive moment in confronting Iran.

“I thank our great friend, President @realDonaldTrump, for his historic leadership,” Netanyahu said.

The US-Israel coordination follows heightened tensions in West Asia amid fears of broader regional conflict.

European leaders voice support

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama urged firm action against Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), describing it as a terrorist organisation and backing efforts to prevent Tehran from acquiring further military capability.

“It’s high time to cut the rope and go straight to the point. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is a terrorist organisation, and it must be treated as such… We fully endorse every decisive effort to prevent, once and for all, the murderers in Tehran from acquiring nuclear or any other military capacity to harm Israel or any other peace-loving nation in the Middle East. Terrorism must be named. And once named, it must be stopped,” Rama said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky linked US action to global deterrence, stating that decisive American leadership weakens “global criminals”. In his words, "It is important that the United States is acting decisively. Whenever there is American resolve, global criminals weaken."

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani described the strikes as a pivotal moment for the Iranian people, crediting US leadership.

Meanwhile, British Member of Parliament Nigel Farage called on the UK government to align more clearly with Washington, urging support for US military operations against Iran.

Coordinated message among US allies

The statements reflect a coordinated narrative among US allies portraying the Iran strikes as a preventive military action aimed at blocking nuclear proliferation, curbing Iran’s regional influence and safeguarding international security.

The White House has maintained that “Operation Epic Fury” was launched to neutralise an imminent nuclear threat and counter Tehran’s missile and proxy capabilities, as tensions escalate across the Middle East.
