Trump’s address to nation: Vows ‘extremely hard’ Iran strikes in 3 weeks, claims US near victory

In an address to the nation, US President Donald Trump claimed that the United States’ core strategic objectives in the war against Iran are nearing completion, asserting that American forces will “finish the job” soon.
Escalating his rhetoric, Trump warned that Washington would “hit Iran extremely hard” over the next two to three weeks, signalling an intense final phase of the military campaign.
“We will continue until our objectives are fully achieved,” he said, adding that the US is “on track to complete all of America’s objectives shortly, very shortly”.
In a stark warning, the president threatened direct strikes on Iran’s critical infrastructure, including its power grid, if negotiations fail during this period.
“If no deal is reached, we are going to hit every one of their electric generating plants very hard, and probably simultaneously,” Trump said.
The remarks indicate a potential widening of targets beyond conventional military sites, raising concerns about the scale and consequences of any escalation.
Trump also struck a combative tone, saying the US would push Iran “back to the Stone Age”, underscoring the severity of the proposed strikes.
Despite the aggressive posture, he maintained that regime change was not a stated goal of the US campaign. However, he suggested that changes had already taken place following the death of Iran’s original leader, a claim likely to further heighten tensions.
Reiterating his position, Trump declared that the US was “on the cusp of ending Iran’s sinister threat to America and the world”, portraying the conflict as nearing its conclusion.
He emphasised that significant strategic gains had already been made, describing US operations as swift and effective, while indicating that military action would continue over the coming weeks.
Although there has been speculation about broader international involvement, including potential NATO coordination or control over key routes such as the Strait of Hormuz, Trump did not directly address alliance participation in his remarks.
The latest comments come amid heightened geopolitical tensions, with global powers closely watching the situation for signs of further escalation.
Trump’s two-to-three-week timeline now sets a critical window for diplomacy, even as the US signals readiness to intensify its offensive.
The developments mark a decisive and volatile moment in US-Iran relations, with the risk of a wider conflict looming large.
