Washington: US President Donald Trump on Tuesday accused Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un of conspiring against the United States during their recent high-profile meeting in Beijing. Speaking in reference to the massive military parade held in China to mark the 80th anniversary of Japan’s defeat in World War II, Trump said that while the US had offered “massive support and blood” to help China secure its freedom from a foreign invader, sacrifices made by many Americans, he hoped that these sacrifices would be “rightfully honored and remembered.”

Trump’s statement also included a pointed message for Xi to pass along his “warmest regards” to Putin and Kim, whom he accused of plotting against the US. “Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against the United States of America,” Trump said on his social media platform, Truth Social, directly highlighting the growing alliance between the three leaders.

The parade in Beijing was seen as a display of China’s rising military might and strategic partnerships with Russia and North Korea. Analysts have described this gathering as an “Axis of Upheaval,” illustrating a united front challenging US geopolitical influence. Trump’s criticism reflects the ongoing tensions between the US and this bloc, as these nations’ coordination is perceived as a counterweight to American power, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region.
