‘The only way is Essex’ star Jake Hall found dead; probe underway

Jake Hall, best known for appearing on The Only Way Is Essex, has died following a freak accident in Mallorca, according to reports. He was 35.
Hall was reportedly found unresponsive with severe head injuries at a villa in Santa Margalida in the north of the Spanish island, The Guardian reported. Investigators are examining the possibility that he may have accidentally smashed his head through a glass door, reports said. Police have questioned four men and two women who were staying at the property at the time of the incident.
Spain’s Civil Guard confirmed that an investigation is underway and indicated that the case currently appears to be an accidental death. Emergency services were called to the holiday rental at around 7.30am on Wednesday. No arrests have been made, and an autopsy is expected to be conducted in Palma, the capital of Mallorca.
In the days before his death, Hall had been sharing photos and videos from his stay in Mallorca on Instagram. His final post on Wednesday read: “Life is bollocks sometimes but I’m gonna try remember the good things – ️ looking through things – I’m just making art – in many forms.”
Hall frequently visited Mallorca and owned a second home on the island. He had also recently revealed a sculpture he created there.
Paying tribute, the production team of The Only Way Is Essex said: “Jake was a part of the Towie family for a number of years and we send our very deepest sympathies to his family and friends following today’s very sad news.” Hall is survived by his daughter, River.
