3 killed, several injured in mass shooting at North Carolina restaurant

North Carolina, USA: At least three people were killed and several others injured in a mass shooting at a popular North Carolina restaurant on Saturday evening, authorities confirmed.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. local time at the American Fish Company, located at 150 Yacht Basin Drive in the Southport Yacht Basin area, roughly 20 miles south of Wilmington.
According to police reports, seven people were shot, with three pronounced dead at the scene. The remaining victims were rushed to nearby hospitals, though their current conditions have not been disclosed.
City Manager Noah Saldo described the shocking attack, saying a boat pulled up to the restaurant and began firing into the crowd before speeding away.
"Several people were taken to the hospital," Saldo added, cautioning that figures may change as emergency crews continue to respond.
Authorities urged local residents to stay indoors and avoid the area, and to report any suspicious activity immediately to 911.
"Avoid the area and remain in your homes. Please report any suspicious activity immediately to 911," a public statement read.
The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office confirmed they were assisting the Southport Police Department, along with multiple other law enforcement agencies in the region.
"The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office is assisting the City of Southport Police Department, along with multiple law enforcement agencies throughout the county. Please keep all those affected, as well as our first responders, in your thoughts and prayers," the statement said.
Unconfirmed reports from emergency scanners suggested the possibility of additional casualties, though officials have yet to verify those claims.
