A video purportedly showing a daylight shooting in Pakistan’s Punjab province has gone viral on social media, triggering speculation that a man identified as Imran, described in online posts as a senior Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander with alleged links to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), was killed in the attack.

However, the victim’s identity, the location of the shooting and the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been independently verified.

The footage, which is being circulated across social media platforms, appears to show a motorcyclist emerging from the gate of a complex when a man dressed in white approaches him and opens fire.

As the motorcyclist attempts to escape, he loses control of the vehicle and falls onto the road. The assailant is then seen continuing to fire at him before taking another handgun from a bag and firing additional rounds.

The gunman subsequently appears to raise his hands before fleeing the scene. The victim is seen lying motionless on the road as the video ends.

The clip carries a timestamp of October 13, 2026, at 11:54 am. However, the timestamp alone does not establish when or where the footage was recorded.

Viral posts claim targeted killing of Lashkar operative

Several social media accounts sharing the video have described the incident as the targeted killing of a senior Lashkar-e-Taiba operative named Imran. Some posts have also alleged that the individual had links to Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the ISI.

Lashkar-e-Taiba is a Pakistan-based militant organisation designated as a terrorist group by India and several other countries.

Although the footage is being shared with claims that the shooting took place in Pakistan’s Punjab province, the available information does not independently establish the location.

No official confirmation of Imran’s death

No official statement confirming the reported killing or identifying the victim has been cited in the available reports. There is also no verified information establishing whether Pakistani authorities have launched an investigation, made any arrests or identified the alleged shooter.

Until the footage is authenticated and the victim’s identity is confirmed by Pakistani authorities or credible independent sources, claims that a senior Lashkar-e-Taiba commander named Imran was killed in a targeted attack remain unverified.
