LeT Commander issues violent threat; calls for ‘cutting necks of Hindus’, raising ‘flag of Jihad’

A senior Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander has issued an explicit call for violence, delivering one of the group’s most extreme public threats in recent years and directing his anger not only at India but also at Pakistan’s political and military leadership.
Abu Musa Kashmiri is seen in the video claiming that, in his view, freedom would not be achieved through appeals but through violent acts against Hindus and by raising the flag of jihad.
The footage was shared by OSINTTV on X, though Mathrubhumi English has not independently verified its authenticity. The post also claims that the commander previously gave a similar speech ahead of the Pahalgam massacre
Escalating rhetoric from within LeT
In the purported video, Kashmiri urges followers to emulate early Islamic battles, "Freedom will not come by begging. It will only come by cutting the necks of the Hindus, yes, by raising the flag of Jihad, by repeating the history of Badr … and by repeating the history of the conquest of Mecca," he is heard saying.
He goes on to accuse Pakistan’s rulers of betraying religious principles and failing to uphold jihadist ideals. Kashmiri targets key figures including Army Chief Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, asserting that any leader who is not committed to jihad has “no right” to govern Pakistan.
Attack on Pakistan’s political and military leadership
The commander, speaking in the video, declares, "That politician or ruler has no right to rule this state who does not care about prayer, who is not loyal to the Kalima, who is not loyal to the blood of the martyrs, and who is not a flag-bearer of Jihad."
He claims to have made similar remarks previously in a meeting with Pakistan’s prime minister in Muzaffarabad. "I said it then, and inshallah I will keep saying it. We will do Jihad with our hands, with our tongue, and with our pen. And while performing this duty, we will return to our Allah," he adds.
Recent criticism from other LeT figures
Kashmiri’s tirade follows another recent outburst by LeT commander Mhd Ashfaq Rana, who launched a blistering attack on Pakistan’s top leadership.
Rana directly criticised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Asim Munir, accusing them of mismanaging the country and squandering international loans.
He claimed Pakistan would be “more beautiful than Saudi Arabia” and more advanced than Britain and Spain if funds from the International Monetary Fund had been properly utilised.
