A man was arrested upon arrival in Glasgow after causing a major disturbance aboard an EasyJet flight from London Luton Airport. The incident, captured in a now-viral video circulating on social media, shows the passenger loudly threatening to bomb the plane mid-air.

The footage also records the man shouting politically charged and religious phrases, including “Death to America, death to Trump,” and “Allahu Akbar” (Arabic for “God is Great”).

Tensions escalated until another male passenger intervened, physically restraining the man and bringing him to the floor.

Police Scotland confirmed that officers boarded the aircraft upon its landing at Glasgow Airport and took the suspect into custody.

“We received a report of a man causing a disturbance on a flight arriving in Glasgow around 8.20am on Sunday, 27 July, 2025. Officers boarded the plane on its arrival and a 41-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody. Enquiries are continuing,” shared Police Scotland on their official X account. Authorities also confirmed that counter-terrorism officers are reviewing the videos shared online as part of the investigation.

They added, "At this time, we believe the incident was contained and that nobody else was involved."

Coincidentally, US President Donald Trump is also currently in Scotland. During his visit, he announced a breakthrough trade agreement with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, resolving a long-standing transatlantic tariff dispute.
