Tesla CEO Elon Musk, on Wednesday targeted singer Taylor Swift on X  over her remark about being a “childless cat lady” on Instagram. The post which featured her with a cat was captioned to show her support for Kamala Harris in the U.S. election.

"Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life," Musk wrote.

Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris came shortly after a heated election debate. The pop star’s comment came in response to JD Vance, a Republican vice-presidential candidate, who had criticised childless women.

She decided to reveal her voting choice in light of false online claims that she was backing Donald Trump. This misinformation heightened her concerns about the risks of AI-driven content in the election.

In her Instagram post, Swift expressed her support for Harris, praising her as a strong and steady leader. “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them,” Swift wrote. “I think we can achieve so much more with calm leadership, rather than chaos.”

Swift also highlighted her approval of Harris’s choice for vice-president, Tim Walz. She praised Walz for his long-standing support of LGBTQ+ rights and women’s reproductive rights. “I was so heartened by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been a champion for LGBTQ+ rights and women’s rights for decades,” Swift added.
