Star Air announces new routes connecting Hyderabad to Lucknow and Raipur via Jharsuguda

Hyderabad: Star Air, the aviation arm of Sanjay Ghodawat Group is all set to increase its presence in Tier II and Tier III cities by adding new routes connecting Hyderabad to Lucknow via Jharsuguda and Hyderabad to Raipur via Jharsuguda starting January 1, 2025. 

These new routes mark the total Star Air’s destinations to 24, marking a significant milestone in Government’s flagship UDAN scheme aiming to connect remote destinations at affordable rates. The airline has further announced its plans to increase the number of aircraft to 25 over the next three years underscoring their dedication to serving underserved areas and fostering economic growth

Currently, the airline has a fleet of 9 aircrafts, including 4 Embraer E175s and 5 Embraer E145s, ensuring the capacity to cater to growing regional travel demands.

Expressing the airline’s commitment to regional connectivity, Camt. Simran Singh Tiwana, chief executive, Star Air said: “These flights aim to provide passengers with greater convenience while contributing to the growth of trade, tourism, and economic opportunities in these regions.”

The flight schedule is as follows – The flight connecting Hyderabad-Jharsuguda-Lucknow will operate weekly thrice while the flight to Raipur will operate four times per week. 

These routes are expected to significantly boost tourism and economic activities in Jharsuguda, Hyderabad, Lucknow, and Raipur. By fostering greater connectivity, these flights will facilitate cultural exchange, enhance trade opportunities, and promote economic development in the regions served.
