Petrol prices in Mumbai held steady at ₹103.54 per litre today, with no change recorded from yesterday. Over the past ten days, the fuel price has seen minor fluctuations, ranging between ₹103.50 and ₹103.54 per litre.

Petrol prices in India are influenced by a mix of international crude oil rates, domestic taxation policies, and currency exchange fluctuations. Despite global variations, India’s petrol rates remain considerably higher than in several neighboring countries, primarily due to the country’s higher fuel taxes.

India has shifted to a daily diesel pricing system, effective June 15, 2017. Previously, diesel prices were revised every two weeks.

The move to daily price adjustments is considered a significant step, allowing fuel costs to reflect global market trends more accurately and ensuring greater transparency in pricing.
