iPhone 13 for just Rs 11! Flipkart's unbelievable offer receives mixed reactions

Barely days before Flipkart's Big Billion Days Sale, the e-commerce giant sparked a frenzy on social media by offering the iPhone 13 for an astonishing price of Rs 11. This promotional deal, announced at 11 PM on September 22, drew significant attention. However, many users were disappointed when the iPhone 13 quickly sold out the moment the clock struck 11.
Many customers took to social media to report that the 'buy now' option on Flipkart's website was unclickable when the iPhone 13 offer went live, and they encountered error messages that prevented them from placing orders. Some users accused Flipkart of employing a "marketing gimmick" to boost sales ahead of its Big Billion Days Sale. However, there were also posts from a few customers who claimed they successfully secured the deal.
Expressing frustration, a user named Navneet K. Singh wrote on X, "Flipkart offers Apple iPhone 13 at Price Rs 11 only. Products went out of stock and showing coming soon. Is it a good strategy to do free marketing on social media? Govt should take action for such malpractices in the name of discounts/offers." Meanwhile, another user named Neetu Khandelwal opined, "If you were trying to get an iPhone 13 for ₹11 at 11 PM then probably you were probably fooled. This is one of the marketing gimmicks used by online shopping platforms to create buzz. 'Sold Out' message will pop up for everyone."

Controversy over Flipkart Sale
Earlier this month, Flipkart found itself embroiled in controversy as the hashtag #FlipkartScam went viral on social media. Many customers accused the platform of running a scam disguised as heavy discounts, prompting widespread criticism. Thousands of users expressed their frustrations with posts featuring the hashtag on platform X.
The uproar began when users claimed they ordered the Motorola G85 5G (128GB) through an offer linked to Flipkart’s FireDrops platform, which promotes NFT-based rewards for completing brand challenges. However, numerous customers reported issues with their orders, leading to allegations of deceptive practices.
