Woman performs Namaz on busy road in Kerala’s Palakkad; later tells police it was a protest

Palakkad: A woman performed a Namaz in the middle of a busy road at IMA Junction here on Wednesday noon. Residents and drivers tried to move her from the road, but their efforts did not succeed. Vehicles continued to pass by as the scene drew attention.

The South Police arrived and took her into custody, later informing her relatives.

The woman explained that her act was intended to bring attention to a dispute over family property. Police said that further action will be taken only after investigation.

A video of the incident has emerged on social media, showing the woman performing prayers on the road while vehicles pass around her.
