Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday came down heavily on V4 Kochi over the unauthorized opening of the Vyttila flyover ahead of official inauguration.

Some people who were absent during the crisis reappeared and tried to spoil the project, CM said in a veiled attacked against V4 Kochi.

In his address after inaugurating the Vyttila flyover, Pinarayi Vijayan said, “When a very special flyover is constructed within the stipulated time ensuring safety, many people will be disturbed as it may increase the trust people have in the government. These people will be missing during the planning or crisis period of the project”.

“Their anger was not seen when the project was stalled with no funds. They were also missing when a nearby flyover was found unsafe due to quality issues resulting from corruption. But when the government overcame all the obstructions and completed the project successfully, they appeared to sabotage it. They are just blabbers seeking attention by creating issues,” he added.

CM also criticized Justice Kemal Pasha who had supported V4 Kochi for opening the flyover.  “We can only condemn the actions of people who had been in the higher posts of judiciary when they support such atrocities. Let them be the judge of whether encouragement should be provided for anarchy and rampage,” Pinarayi Vijayan further stated.
