3 more arrested for opening Vyttila flyover before inauguration

Kochi: More people have been arrested in connection with the incident in which Vyttila flyover was opened for the public before its inauguration. The Police arrested three V for Kerala activists. Earlier, four other activists of V for Kerala were arrested in connection with the incident.
The arrested are identified as Thammanam native Alvin Antony, Kalamassery Sajan and Mattancherry native Sakkeer Ali. The police made it clear that all three of them are members of V for Kerala. The probe team said that they have clear role in opening the flyover prior to the inauguration.
Other four who were arrested earlier were remanded by the court. The police are also checking if anybody drove the vehicles to the flyover knowingly. They have recorded the numbers of all vehicles that travelled through the flyover.
Case has been booked against the arrested for damaging public property and organising fake campaigns. The flyover is scheduled to be inaugurated on January 9 by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
