VSSC exam fraud: Kerala Police team heads to Haryana to probe case

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Police will travel to Haryana on Wednesday in connection with the case registered over the alleged cheating incident during a recruitment test conducted by the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC). The team is led by Poojapura SHO Deepak Chahar. 

As per reports, the police officials will gather information about Haryana natives who attended the exam. If those involved in the case are identified, the team has been instructed to arrest them.  

Presently, police have taken six persons into custody over the case. 

On Sunday, the Museum and Medical College police apprehended two Haryana natives Sumit Kumar (25) and Sunil (25) from Cotton Hills and St Mary's Higher Secondary School respectively in connection with the cheating case. Their address was proved to be fake during verification. They allegedly captured images of the question paper using a mobile phone and sent them to coaching centres in Haryana.
