Thiruvananthapuram: The health condition of former Kerala Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan remains critical, according to a medical update issued by the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.

A team of specialists appointed by the state government has reported that the functioning of several internal organs is compromised. Both blood pressure and kidney function are unstable, prompting doctors to resume dialysis treatment.

Medical professionals involved in his care have indicated that while the situation remains serious, the body is showing some response to the administered medication. The team continues to closely monitor his condition, providing round-the-clock care.

Achuthanandan, a veteran leader and key figure in Kerala politics, has been under medical supervision for several days.
