Two children drowned in a pond in Kanthapuram

Kozhikode: Two children drowned in a pond in Kanthapuram, located in Unnikulam panchayat of Poonoor. The deceased have been identified as Muhammad Farzan (9), son of Abdul Razak and Muhammad Abubakkar (8), son of Muhammad Salih, both residents of Alangappoyil in Kanthapuram. Their bodies were recovered from a pond situated about 100 meters from their homes.

The children went missing around 4 PM on Tuesday. A search operation ensued and their bodies were found in the pond around 7 PM. The bodies were initially taken to a private hospital in Poonoor. After an inquest by the Balussery police, the mortal remains will be shifted to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
