Three Kottayam students drowned at Udupi beach

Udupi: Three Kottayam students who came to Manipal for a study tour drowned to death at a beach here. The deceased were students of a private engineering college in Ettumanoor.

The students were bathing at the beach on St Mary's Island near Malpe in the Udupi district. The deceased are Amal C Anil of Kottayam Kuzhimattom, Allen Reji of Pampadi and Udayamperoor Chiramel Anthony Shinoj.

The students left the college for the study tour in two buses on Tuesday evening.
