SSLC certificate delay on DigiLocker: Alternate documents to be accepted for Plus One admission

Haripad: Taking into consideration the non-availability of Kerala State SSLC certificate on the DigiLocker, causing hindrance to Kerala syllabus students in taking Plus One admission, the state government has decided to accept other valid documents for verification of caste and locality.
For permanent residence address, the ration card will now also be considered as proof. The applicant's address on the SSLC certificate was considered for granting bonus points during admission if the candidate wished to enroll in a school in the same local body and taluk. In previous years, the SSLC certificates were made available on the DigiLocker before the Plus One admission. However, this year the certificate's non-availability caused a huge problem.
Mathrubhumi gave news on Wednesday regarding this matter.
It is now said that the certificates will be available through the DigiLocker the very next day.
First allotment ends on Thursday
Those who are in the first allotment list of Higher Secondary and VHSE can take admission till 5 pm on Thursday. Those who got the first option should submit the required documents and fees to get permanent admission. Others can take temporary admission without paying the fee. Those who fail to get admission within the prescribed time, they will be disqualified and will not be considered for subsequent allotments.
The second and third allotments will be announced based on the total available seats, including those left vacant after the first allotment. The second allotment list will be published on Tuesday, and the third on June 16. Plus One classes for this academic year will commence on June 18.
TC sufficient for reservation proof: Sivankutty
Minister V Sivankutty clarified that students who receive allotments under the reservation category for Plus One can temporarily use their Transfer Certificate (TC) as proof of caste at the time of admission. He urged students and parents not to be anxious about the admission process.
Referring to a recent incident in Kollam, where a Plus Two student was removed from class for having long hair, the Minister stated that schools must ensure such incidents are not repeated. He added that the Director of General Education would take appropriate action once the report on the Kollam incident is received.
The Minister also addressed another incident in Kannur, where a student was allegedly removed from school for not paying the bus fee. He said the issue would be investigated by the Deputy Director of Education in Kannur.
