Special trains announced on Bengaluru-Thiruvananthapuram route for Christmas

Bengaluru: To accommodate the increased passenger traffic during the Christmas season, South Western Railway (SWR) has announced special trains from Bengaluru to various destinations, including Kerala.

The special Bengaluru-Thiruvananthapuram North Express (Train No 06507) will depart from Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru at 11:00 pm on December 23 and arrive in Thiruvananthapuram North at 4:30 pm the next day. On the return leg, Train No 06508 will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 5:55 pm on December 24, reaching Bengaluru at 11:15 am the following day. The train will make stops at key stations like Ernakulam, Palakkad, Thrissur, and Kottayam, serving passengers traveling between Karnataka and Kerala for the holidays.

A special Mysuru-Prayagraj One-way Kumbh Express (Train No 06215) will also depart from Mysuru on December 23 at 3:00 am, heading to Prayagraj for the Kumbh Mela. Passengers can expect multiple stops along the way, including major stations like KSR Bengaluru, Pune, and Jabalpur.

SWR is also running special trains to Kalaburagi, with the Bengaluru-Kalaburagi Express scheduled to depart on December 24 at 9:15 pm, with stops in towns like Yelahanka, Raichur, and Guntakal.

These special trains aim to provide convenient travel options for passengers heading to Kerala and other key locations during the festive season. The trains will be equipped with various classes, including AC coaches and Sleeper Class, to cater to different needs.
