Police arrest man behind fake degree certificate of Nikhil Thomas

Kayamkulam: Police arrested the person responsible for creating a fake degree certificate for SFI leader Nikhil Thomas to gain MCom admission at MSM College in Kayamkulam. 

The arrested individual was identified as Muhammed Riyas (30), hailing from Ayanavaram in Chennai. He is the fourth accused in the case of fabricating the degree certificate, migration certificate and mark lists of Kalinga University. Using the certificates, Nikhil Thomas gained admission to the MSM college.

Ernakulam native Saju Sasidharan received the certificates from Riyas and later handed them to Nikhil. 

Saju's bank transactions helped the police to establish links to Riyas. Meanwhile, Riyas's anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the High Court. Following this, police went to Chennai and arrested him.
