Palode Ravi resigns as TVM DCC chief over audio leak row

Thiruvananthapuram: District Congress Committee (DCC) President Palode Ravi has resigned from his post following the emergence of a controversial leaked phone conversation that sparked widespread criticism.
In the call, Ravi reportedly expressed concern over internal disputes and the functioning of the Congress party in Kerala. He warned that if the current situation continued, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) would return to power in the state. He also suggested that the BJP could gain significant ground, predicting they might influence up to 60 constituencies in the next assembly elections.
In the wake of the controversy, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Sunny Joseph announced the expulsion of A Jalil, the Vamanapuram Block General Secretary, from the party’s primary membership. Jalil was found to have leaked the conversation and, according to the KPCC, had engaged in anti-party activities.
