Kollam: Mother of the second accused Anithakumari in the Kollam six-year-old girl’s abduction case has come forward with some shocking revelations. Speaking to Mathrubhumi News, Meenakshiamma, said that her daughter took away her house and 13-cents of land as a mortgage for a loan initially. However, when she asked her daughter to return the title deed, her husband Padmakumar allegedly thrashed her.

Meenakshiamma also said that Anithakumari had not come home for many years and that she didn’t come even when her father passed away. She has had no contact with her daughter for over two and a half years now.

One time Meenakshiamma went to Anithakumari’s house to ask for the title deed along with a panchayat member. However, her daughter reacted terribly and she said that Padmakumar even kicked her twice or thrice. Meenakshiamma says that Padmakumar pushed another relative who questioned his unruly behaviour.

The mother spoke of how she was sad to hear about the developments and that what her daughter did was wrong. She said that their financial situation was fairly good. She expressed sorrow over her daughter getting entangled in all this but also added that she has neither love nor hatred for her daughter’s family.

Anithakumari left home at the age of 18 to live with Padmakumar, her mother said.
