Kerala cabinet reshuffle | Minister VN Vasavan to get ports department: Report

Thiruvananthapuram: The state government is expected to officially announce the changes in portfolios as new ministers are sworn into the Kerala cabinet on Friday. Though the official order on the changes is yet to be released, sources with knowledge of the matter have given some inputs.
The newly inducted K B Ganesh Kumar will get the transport department while Kadannappalli Ramachandran will get registration, museum and archeology portfolios.
Interestingly, the ports department has been given to CPM minister VN Vasavan. It may be noted that Vasavan had been handling the registration department along with the cooperative department.
According to reports, Vasavan has been given ports department as the government wants a ruling party person to handle affairs of the ambitious Vizhinjam port project.
