Kochi: In a touching display of kindness, an LKG student named Nathan K. Nithin, from Naipunya Public School, brought immense joy and warmth to MLA Uma Thomas during her hospital stay. Despite his own struggle with fever, young Nathan's compassion knew no bounds as he insisted on meeting the politician who had been his ‘hospital mate’ for the past few days.

Nathan had been admitted to the hospital due to fever, but for several days he has been wanting to meet Uma Thomas. But the MLA was not allowed any visitors as per hospital guidelines. With his mother Donna by his side, Nathan made his way to Uma’s room after the visitor ban was lifted.

In an emotional post shared on her Facebook page, Thomas expressed her gratitude for the heartfelt gesture. She described how Nathan, despite his own illness, had not only spent time with her but also presented her with two beautiful pictures he had drawn and colored by hand. With a heartfelt “Get Well Soon” message, Nathan’s thoughtful gifts became the highlight of Uma’s hospital stay.

A Heartwarming Gesture from a Little Hero!

My 'Hospital Mate' for the past few days is my little Nathan, an LKG student at Naipunya Public School.

He was admitted due to fever.

He has been insisting on meeting me for the past 3-4 days.

Nathan's parents forbade him for the first few days as visitors were banned.

Yesterday Nathan came to my room with his mother Donna and spent some time.

Even though he was tired of the fever, he gave me 2 beautiful pictures he had drawn and colored with his hands.

He also wished me ‘Get Well Soon’.

'Love and compassion have no age'.

I am so grateful for this beautiful gift from Nathan... It is the prayers and presence of loving people like you that have made my speedy recovery from this illness..

Nathan left the hospital yesterday evening..

Hopefully this week, I will too..

Thank you, little Nathan, for brightening my day with your thoughtful gift. Your kindness has made a difference in my journey to recovery.

With Love
