Singer P Jayachandran honoured with J C Daniel award

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Chalachitra Academy honoured singer P Jayachandran with the J C Daniel award for 2020 for his life-long contributions to the Malayalam film industry. He will receive a statuette, a citation, and a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh.

The 77-year old singer is popularly known as 'Bhava Gayakan'. He rendered voice for over 15,000 songs. His wife is Lalitha and children are Lakshmi and Dinanath.

Established in 1992, J C Daniel award is the highest film award in Kerala.
