Kozhikode man holds historic document on iconic 1969 lunar landing

Narikkuni: A teacher in Kerala possesses a copy of Mathrubhumi Daily published on July 22, 1969, the day after the first man set foot on the moon. The headline of the newspaper reads - Man's successful landing on the moon - along with the picture of astronauts.
Even though the landmark moment in human history occurred more than 50 years ago, it is still rare to find newspapers reporting the same from that era. Fortunately, Jamaludheen Poloor, a teacher at Eravannur AMLP School and a participant in the Archaeology and Heritage Association, still has a copy of the famous news story that was written and published 54 years ago.
The newspaper was offered to Jamaludheen by a colleague ten years ago when he had organised an exhibition in the school. The news article features a picture of Edwin Aldrin and Neil Amstrong prepping for their lunar mission.
