Kollam missing case: Husband of staff at Padmakumar’s farmhouse attacked

Kollam: Husband and in-law of a woman employee at Padmakumar’s  farmhouse was attacked by miscreants on Monday night. Padmakumar is one of the prime accused in the Kollam child abduction case. A complaint has been lodged in the incident. Sheeba’s husband Shaji and her in-law Biju were attacked by a gang of four who arrived in an auto rickshaw.

The attack happened near a school in Polachira. The attackers fled the spot and a woman passing through the route noticed Shaji and Biju lying on the roadside. She immediately informed the ward member. Post this, the duo were shifted to government Rama Rao memorial taluk hospital. Biju who had sustained a serious head injury was later shifted to medical college in Parippally. Paravoor police have recorded the statements of the injured.

It is said that Shaji had received a threat call on Sunday evening. He was told that his wife Sheeba who spoke to the media about Padmakumar would be killed. Shaji had lodged a complaint at the Paravoor police station on Sunday night regarding the threat call. However, police allegedly failed to take any action in this regard.
