Kerala residents can submit Census 2027 details online from June 16 ahead of house visits

Thiruvananthapuram: Citizens will be able to submit their Census information directly online before the designated census official visits their homes. The details can be entered through a mobile phone using the online portal. The self-enumeration process will begin on June 16.
The Census will be conducted in two phases. The first phase will involve house listing and housing census, while the second phase will focus on population enumeration. The first phase of the Census will be carried out from July 1 to July 30.
During this phase, enumerators will prepare maps marking buildings and important locations and collect information through a mobile application. A total of 34 questions, including the serial number, will be covered in the first phase.
How to Complete Self-Enumeration
To complete self-enumeration, citizens should visit https://se.census.gov.in and select their state. On the next screen, they must enter the name of the head of the household, mobile number, and email address, and verify the registration using the OTP received on their phone.
After that, they must provide the district name and location of the house, identify their home on the map, place the red marker on it, and save the location. Once the location is confirmed, they can answer the questions displayed on the screen and submit the information.
Upon submission, an 11-digit SE ID will be sent via SMS and email. This ID should be provided to the enumerator when they visit the house.
