Kozhikode: Muslim Students Federation (MSF) state vice-president PP Shaijal who was reinstated following the order by Wayanad Munsif Court was denied entry to the state committee meeting of the organisation. The meeting was held in a closed room. Shaijal raised his objection against this move by protesting in front of the door. He was expelled from the party for supporting girls in the Haritha (the women’s wing of MSF) harassment issue.

MSF state president PK Navas and others had sexually harassed women activists in Haritha. However, the party investigated the allegations and, instead of ensuring justice for the victims, dismissed the Haritha committee and expelled those who demanded action against the culprits, including PP Shaijal.

Shaijal was to be permitted to attend party functions and events following the court order but he was excluded from the recent meeting. The meeting was convened in the presence of MSF state president P K Navas.

Shaijal reacted to the media saying that the leadership was clearly violating the court’s order.
