11 days on deathbed, yet Sharon never doubted Greeshma; He opened up to father only on his final day

Thiruvananthapuram: Sharon, who had been bedridden for 11 days with physical weakness after being poisoned, never suspected that his lover Greeshma was behind it, even when he was going through an adverse health condition at both home and hospitals. It was only on the final day while battling death in the ICU that Sharon revealed the truth to his father.

On October 14, 2022, Sharon visited Greeshma's house along with his friend Rejin. There, Greeshma gave Sharon some herbal medicine to drink. On the way back by bike, Sharon vomited several times, became weak and was later admitted to the hospital.

After returning home, since his condition did not improve, Sharon sought treatment again at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.

It was only when the nurse repeatedly asked if Sharon had consumed any other beverages that he disclosed having drunk the herbal decoction. However, at no point did Sharon mention Greeshma’s name.

After returning from Greeshma's house, Sharon was unable to eat anything. His food pipe got completely burnt that day and could not even drink water. His friend, who accompanied him, on the other hand, did not experience any health issues. Sharon succumbed to death on October 25.

His family, getting suspicious that the juice and herbal medicine given by Greeshma might have caused Sharon's death, approached the police. The police eventually concluded that the food poisoning had originated from Greeshma's house and suspected it was premeditated.

Even while lying in the hospital, Sharon had doubts about whether Greeshma could have done such a thing. It was only when he was sure that he would not survive that he confided in his father in the ICU on the day of his death. After the police gathered evidence and questioned Greeshma, she admitted to poisoning Sharon, as confirmed by DYSP Johnson in a media statement.
