Thiruvananthapuram: By 7 pm, the Kerala Assembly Election 2026 results indicated a decisive UDF surge, with the alliance securing 102 of the 140 seats. The LDF was reduced to 35 seats, marking a clear setback, while the NDA opened its account with 3 seats, registering a limited but notable presence in the final tally.

Counting for Kerala’s 2026 Assembly elections began at 8 am, starting with postal ballots followed by EVMs across all 140 constituencies, with over 17,000 officials deployed at 43 centres under tight security.

With a strong 78.27% voter turnout, the results will determine whether the ruling LDF retains power or the UDF stages a comeback, continuing Kerala’s traditional pattern of alternating governments.
