Kasaragod students savour chicken mandhi before Onam holidays

Padanna (Kasaragod): Students at Padanna Government UP School enjoyed a special Chicken Mandhi meal as a treat before the 10-day Onam holiday.

The School Management Committee (SMC) and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) collaborated to prepare the dish for around 270 students. Chicken curry is typically served once a month at the school.

When Head Teacher Lukman Azhikkodan suggested serving chicken curry before the Onam break, SMC Chairman PP Abdul Nassar proposed preparing Chicken Mandhi instead and arranged the necessary ingredients.

PTA Vice President EP Prakashan and member Radheep Kanankara cooked the meal. The school plans to offer more dishes in line with students’ preferences in the future.
