Good news for devotees travelling to Mookambika: Kacheguda-Mangaluru Express extended to Murdeshwar

Kannur: Southern Railway has extended the service of the Kacheguda-Mangaluru Express (12789) to Murdeshwar. The train, which departs at 6:05 AM on Tuesdays and Fridays (from Kacheguda), will arrive at Murdeshwar at 2:05 PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays, respectively.
In Kerala, the train will make stops at the following stations: Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Nileshwaram, Kanhangad, Kasaragod, Mangaluru Central, Surathkal, Mulki, Udupi, Barkur, Kundapura, Mookambika Road (Baindur), and Bhatkal.
In the return direction, the Murdeshwar-Kacheguda Express (12790) will depart from Murdeshwar at 3:30 PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It will reach Mangaluru Central at 7:55 PM. After a 10-minute halt, the train will resume its journey.
This train is expected to be particularly useful for devotees travelling to the Kolluru Sri Mookambika Temple. It will reach Baindur at 12:56 PM, and the train departing from Murdeshwar will arrive at the station at 3:54 PM.
