Ramesh Chennithala to take legal action against Unitac MD

Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has decided to take legal action against Unitac owner Santhosh Eappen in connection with iPhone controversy. Chennithala will send legal notice to Santhosh Eappen on Monday.

He has already sent a letter to the state DGP demanding an investigation in this regard. Chennithala is planning to approach the High Court or the Chief Judicial Magistrate as he is yet to get a response from the DGP. He has sought advice from legal experts.

Ramesh Chennithala stated the other day that he did not receive any mobile phone or any other gift during the event organized by UAE consulate. Chennithala demanded that the phones gifted by Santhosh Eappen should be traced using the IME number to find out who is using it.

He also said that he will take legal action against those circulating defamatory news about him.
