Increase in suicides linked to ignorance, says Kanthapuram

Kozhikode: Kanthapuram AP Aboobacker Musliyar, General Secretary of Samastha Kerala Jamiatul Ulama, has attributed the rising rates of suicides and divorces to ignorance among individuals. Speaking at the Mudaris conference organised as part of Samastha's 100th anniversary celebrations, he highlighted the global increase in immoral activities due to a shortage of scholars in the world.

Emphasising the importance of moral education, Kanthapuram noted that addressing social evils is crucial for the well-being of society and the world at large. He advocated for imparting knowledge to the younger generation through proper guidance and exemplary behaviour.

The conference, presided over by Samastha President E Sulaiman Musliyar, saw participation from Samastha Secretary Sayyid Ibraheem Khaleel Al Bukhari, Secretary Ponmala Abdul Qadir Musliyar, Perode Abdurahman Saqafi, Abdul Jaleel Saqafi Cherushola, and Alavi Saqafi Kolathur, who also addressed the gathering.
