Thiruvananthapuram: A fresh bomb threat was received via email on Sunday at Cliff House, the official residence of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, triggering heightened security measures.

The threat was reported to the Thampanoor police station and bomb squads along with police teams searched the premises but found nothing suspicious.

The incident comes just days after the Chief Minister's departure to the United States for medical treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, a follow-up to his 2022 visit.

Officials confirmed that the source of the email is being traced, but no arrests have been made yet in connection with previous hoax threats, some of which occurred during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit for the Vizhinjam Port inauguration.

Police have not confirmed whether this latest threat is linked to the earlier incidents. However, the repeated targeting of Cliff House has raised serious questions about the pattern and motive behind the threats.

Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
