Transgender woman found dead in Kochi, police suspect suicide

Kochi: Sraddha (22), a transgender woman from Kollam was found dead at a house in Edappally’s Ponekkara. Her friends  found her dead in her room when they returned to the house at the wee hours on Wednesday.

At first, the friends called Sraddha to open the door of the house when they returned. As Sraddha did not open the door, they tried to contact her over the phone. But she did not pick the call. They found Sraddha hanging when they took a glance through an open window.

Meanwhile, the police suspect that she died by suicide. Last week, Sraddha had visited her house. It is learnt that she breathed her last on Tuesday night.
