Deputy Tehsildar found dead in Idukki

Cheruthoni: A Deputy Tehsildar was found dead at his residence here. Abdul Salami (46), a Karunagappally native, was found dead inside a rented house in Paremavil, Cheruthoni.

The body was found by the house owner at around 10 PM on Sunday night. Abdul Salami’s relatives contacted the house owner when they couldn’t reach the deceased on his phone. Following this, the owner reached the rented house and upon looking inside, found the body in a seated position on a chair.

Abdul Salami was transferred to Idukki merely 20 days ago. As per the initial assessment, heart attack is determined to be the cause of death. The body was shifted to Idukki Medical College.
