Court dismisses appeal of Kalady varsity VC against Chancellor’s action

Kochi: The appeal filed by Dr M.V Narayanan,the Vice Chancellor of  Kalady Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit,  in connection with the stand taken by the single bench for not issuing a stay against the order of Governor Arif Muhammad Khan, ousting VC from his post citing flouting of UGC norms,  was dismissed by the division bench. 

The appeal contended that the single bench did not take into account the fact that whether or not the Chancellor had the authority to remove the VC from his post. However, the division bench dismissed the appeal by holding that the argument was prima facie unacceptable.
