Coronavirus: Health dept prepares action plans; state all set to fight
Alappuzha: Health minister K K Shailaja stated that isolation wards will be arranged in private hospitals also. Isolation wards are already arranged in medical colleges, district hospitals and taluk hospitals, the minister said.
The health minister explained this in a press meet following the high level medical conference convened in Alappuzha after one more positive case of coronavirus was confirmed here. National Health Mission director Dr Rathan Kelkar, district collector and district medical officer attended the conference held at Alappuzha collectorate.

Dr Rathan Kelkar will stay in Alappuzha and coordinate the activities. The preparations will be divided into 14 segments and will entrust the responsibilities with concerned persons.
Meetings of all departments will be convened every evening and will resolve the shortcomings. After the meetings, the details will be informed to the media in the district by 7 at night. Medical bulletin also will be issued.
At present, four cases of coronavirus are reported in Alappuzha medical college and one of them is tested positive. A total of 120 persons are under observation in Alappuzha district.
Those who come from China, Nepal and Sri Lanka should contact with the health department. If they do not have the contact number, they have to inform the medical officer in the nearest hospital.
People should not hide details. Also they are directed not to leave house during the incubation period of 28 days and not to conduct receptions or other events at their houses, the minister said.
