Clash breaks out among home guards at retirement event in Kochi

Kochi: A clash broke out between Home Guards during a retirement function at Palluruthy in Ernakulam.

The incident involved Home Guards from the Palluruthy Traffic Station. One injured Home Guard sought treatment at the Ernakulam General Hospital.

The incident happened on Thursday afternoon during a gathering organised for the retirement of a Home Guard. During the event, two Home Guards got into a heated verbal exchange.

Although others at the venue tried to separate them, the argument escalated into a physical altercation. Reports suggest that the dispute later continued at the police station as well.
