Special circular issued to resolve the salary crisis of higher secondary teachers

Thiruvananthapuram: A special order has been issued to resolve the crisis in connection with the disbursal of the salary of 8000 Higher Secondary teachers who face uncertainty regarding their transfer. According to the circular issued by S Shanavas, Director, Department of General Education, Principals are being asked to release the salary of the teachers using their PEN number of schools where they are being attached now.
Education minister V Sivankutty has intervened in the issue following the news published in Mathrubhumi daily in connection with the plight of higher secondary teachers as they are being denied their salary due to the uncertainty over their transfer.
The circular is being issued for those teachers who have not yet been relieved from the schools, those who have not joined duty in the new schools and those who have not yet been able to complete the Spark transfer even after joined the new schools.
According to the circular, the principals of the schools where the transferred teachers had worked earlier should release the salary of the month of May.
