Carried home on their shoulders, Ananthu’s final journey leaves villagers in tears

Nilambur: The body of Ananthu, who died of electrocution from an electric trap set for wild boars in Nilambur, was brought home. After completing the postmortem procedures at Manjeri Medical College, the relatives received his body. The public paid homage both at Ananthu's school, CKMHSS Manimooli, and his residence. Since his home is in a location inaccessible to large vehicles, the locals carried Ananthu on their shoulders one last time, in a tribute to the young boy.
The neighbours and villagers are still not ready to accept Ananthu's demise. Ananthu and his friends had gone to play football on Saturday. While returning home after the game at around 6 pm, his friends went fishing in the stream at Vellakatta, where they got electrocuted.
Authorities confirmed that Yadu and Shanu, who were injured along with Ananthu, are out of danger at the hospital.
Vineesh and Kunjumuhammed have been taken into custody by the police in connection with the incident. It is reported that Vineesh admitted to the police that he was the one who set up the trap to catch the wild boar.
