Brawl breaks out over filming of reels in Manaveeyam Veedhi; youth injured

Thiruvananthapuram: A youth was hacked during a brawl at Manaveeyam Veedhi, also known as Manaveeyam Road, on Friday night. The injured is identified as Dhanu Krishna, hailing from Chempazhanthy. He is admitted to SK Hospital in Edapazhanji.  

The brawl broke out in connection with the filming of a reel video here. The group of Dhanu Krishna, Nithin, and Pooja clashed with Poojapura natives Shameer, Akhil, and Dheekshitha. It is alleged that Shameer hacked Dhanu Krishna using a knife.

The police later took Shameer and Dheekshitha into custody. 

Meanwhile, this is the seventh incident to transpire in Manaveeyam Veedhi this month alone. The recent incident happened on April 6, when inebriated men clashed during an event held here.
