Palakkad: Bickerings within the Palakkad BJP have come to light as BJP candidate C. Krishnakumar criticised Sandeep Varier, saying that sincere party members cannot abstain from the election campaign. Earlier in the day, Varier expressed his dissatisfaction with the BJP leadership and announced that he would not participate in the election campaign in Palakkad.

Krishnakumar also replied to Varier’s allegations that he had neither visited Varier's house nor called him when his mother passed away, clarifying that he was not in Palakkad at the time. “I had called Sandeep; I am sure about it,” he asserted.

When reporters pointed out Varier’s stance that he would not return to Palakkad for the election campaign as he was humiliated,  Krishnakumar responded that no party worker should tolerate humiliation from anyone. “BJP leaders, both state and district leadership, will always stand with the party workers,” he said.

“I have not seen Sandeep Varier’s Facebook post. He is my colleague in the party, and if he has any complaints, they can be resolved through discussion,” Krishnakumar added. “I am a person who has risen through the ranks by putting up posters right from the booth level,” he stated.
